Message From The President

    Greetings Arkansas Student Affairs Association!

I am excited and honored to be the President of ArSAA for 2014-2015. We have an exciting year ahead of us!

This year has already been full of exciting changes! The decision to unaffiliate from ACPA was a big decision we feel was in the best interest for the state organization. We, the ArSAA Executive Board, are in the process of making the transition to a 501 C-3 organization. We will be sure to keep the organization posted on our progress.

One of my goals as President is to create a renewed sense of pride in ArSAA. I believe we can accomplish this goal by providing top-notch programming for the Spring Drive-In and the Partners for Student Success, increasing volunteerism within the organization, increasing our presence on social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin), and providing useful resources for members on our website (www.myarsaa.org ).

The Spring Drive-In will be held April 20, 2015 on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Title IX will be the focus of the Spring Drive-In. Institutions are encouraged to bring their team members who are involved with Title IX.

Planning has begun for the 2015 Partners for Student Success Conference. We are thrilled to be partnering again with the Arkansas Academic Advising Network, Arkansas College Testing Association, Arkansas College Health Professionals Association, and Arkansas Higher Education and Disability for the conference. The planning committee is working diligently to bring programming that appeals to all aspects of student affairs. the theme for the conference will be the following: Dream. Develop. Do. Make plans to attend the 2015 Partners for Student Success Conference!

Further information about the Spring Drive-In and the Partners for Student Success Conference will be made available at www.myarsaa.org.

I believe that together we can make this the best year yet for ArSAA!

    Sincerely,

    Ashley Buchman
